Terracotta Floor Tiles
Our own tiles, hand made from English clay, COSI are proud to offer you these beautiful Hand Made Terracotta Floor Tiles in a medieval / arts & craft style.
These tiles could be 600 years old and are extremely strong and durable.
Made with the world famous clay from the Stoke on Trent region of England, they have a richness & depth of colour not found in cheaper Italian, Spanish or Mexican tiles which tend to be yellowy pink. The effect of the flames in a reduction gas kiln is to give darker and lighter tiles just as they would have hundreds of years ago with wood and coal fired kilns.
Frances Hosker can also decorate the tiles for you with traditional tin glaze and oxides, as used in traditional Delft ware and Faience pottery.

At just £ £44.25 inc VAT a square yard, 15 tiles per. sq Yd or £ 53.10 inc VAT a square Meter, @ 18 tiles per sq. Meter, these are excellent value, proper English hand mde tiles to match a period property, a rare find.

The brick tiles can be fixed to the wall and pointed to look like a brick fireplace and are in 2 sizes, 8.75" by 3" is like bricks on a vertical wall, whilst the 4.5" by 8.75" look like brick laid flat. as in a hearth or pathway.
All tiles are about 14mm thick and need to be laid with a good bed of tile adhesive. Allow a total thickness of 19mm.
