Wood burning and multi fuel Stoves
We’ve chosen what we consider to be the best wood burning and multi fuel stoves available, offering a good range of both traditional and contemporary designs. We prefer to offer British made stoves, but have also included a fantastic Swedish make in a style that isn’t produced by many British manufacturers. The stoves we supply are all highly efficient and built to last, with air wash systems to keep the glass clear.
As the wood stove market has grown considerably there are also makes that we’d be happy to supply but don’t have the space to display. So if you see a stove you really like elsewhere, please let the surveyor know when she visits and she can try to include it in her quote.
Designed, developed and manufactured entirely in the UK, Burley wood stoves were designed by Cosi’s owner, Graham Thornhill. They are now made in Rutland. The 4kW Debdale and 5kW Hollywell are the most efficient wood stoves available at 89.9% and 89.1% respectively. When the test house was measuring the emissions from the Burley stove for product approval, the combustion was so clean that they assumed their gas analyser had broken and sent it away for recalibration. We have a Burley Brampton 8kW on live display in the showroom. Let us know if you’re coming to see it and we’ll make sure it’s burning away for you.

Made on the Isle of Wight, Charnwood have an excellent choice of traditional and contemporary stoves in both wood burning and multi-fuel. Their attractive designs can come in a range of subtle colours in a matt paint finish. The multi-fuel riddling grate system is really useful for burning solid fuel effectively and can be retro fitted to their wood stoves if you decide you’d like an alternative to wood.
A large number of their stoves can be chosen with an integrated boiler to provide heating and hot water, or they offer a flue boiler which makes use of the heat that would otherwise be lost up the chimney.
We have been dealers for Charnwood stoves for many years and they’re always extremely popular. We have an extensive range of Charnwood stoves on display in a variety of colours. The impressive ‘Tor Pico’ three sided glass stove is on live display so let us know if you’re coming to see it and we can make sure it’s lit.

Esse have been making wood burning and multi-fuel appliances since 1854, making them the UK’s oldest stove manufacturer. They produce both cast iron and steel stoves, maintaining their more traditional designs and adding some sleek, modern stoves. Their Esse 100, 5kW, stove is particularly useful for those with large fireplaces to fill in small rooms. As it’s shallow and wide it gives a fantastic view of the fire without over heating the room. If you decide a wood burning stove isn’t for you, then Esse have a great range of gas stoves to choose from, some of which don’t require a chimney! The Esse Solo electric stove is also very popular as a choice for conservatories, and as it’s cylindrical it won’t take up too much space. We have a ‘Solo’ on display in the showroom along with lots of Esse multifuel stoves.
Please visit www.esse.com for their full range, along with some handy video tutorials on maintaining your wood stove.
